The Chronos Band is an 8-piece instrumental afro-soul outfit based in Halifax, NS. Their debut album, "Boots the Cat", was nominated for jazz album of the year at the 2013 ECMW and Music NS awards. The album's success earned the band performances at music festivals across the Maritimes including opening slots for Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and John Scofield's Uberjam Band. The Chronos Band is set to release their follow-up album in summer 2016, which shows a marked evolution in their fresh, original, and very danceable style
