While he'd no doubt have qualms with the comparisons, it's not hyperbole to put Mason's prowess and showmanship on the same level as Chuck Berry, Hendrix, James Brown, or any of history's great performers. The tonal qualities and voicing of his guitar and vocals are completely unique. His rhythm and pocket are undeniable.
